The Endurance Dock V2 has the pump built in. The bottle docks straight onto the integrated CPC fitting, and one 2-pin Deutsch connector supplies power. This page covers wiring, first use and cleaning.

Read this first

• Never run the pump without a bottle and the full tubing connected.
• Both types of CPC connector are watertight when they are not mated to their counterpart. If the dock has no bottle on it, or the tubing is open-ended or not connected to the driver-side connector, the pump has no way to draw or release liquid. It creates a vacuum and this will damage the pump.
• Always run the system with a bottle on the dock and the complete tubing run connected through to the driver-side connector.

Wiring

The dock uses one 2-pin Deutsch connector for power.

• Supply: 12 V to 15 V, from the car battery.
• A switch must be wired in between the battery and the dock. There is no on/off control in the dock itself, so without a switch the pump runs continuously.
  
• Double-check polarity before powering up.

Installation

1. Mount the dock. Fit it to the roll cage or roll bar with the included hose clamps. Keep the rubber between the clamps and the tube and tighten firmly so the dock cannot shift under load.
2. Connect the tubing. The dock outlet is a CPC fitting, so click the male CPC fitting on the tubing into it. Run the tubing to the driver-side connector and make sure the full run is connected.
3. Wire the power. Connect the 2-pin Deutsch connector as shown above, with a switch in the VCC line, to a 12 to 15 V battery-fed supply.
4. Dock the bottle. Slam the bottle in until the QuickSnap latch locks it. The integrated CPC fitting makes a watertight connection.
5. Test before you drive. With the bottle docked and the driver connector attached, switch the system on and check that liquid flows and there are no leaks. Switch off.

Operating rules

• Bottle docked and full tubing run connected with the driver-side connector, every time the pump runs.
  
• Do not test-run the pump dry or with unused CPC fittings.

Care and maintenance

After every use: clean and preserve

1. Flush first if needed. After sugary drinks or isodrink, rinse the system thoroughly with plain water straight away.
2. Mix the cleaning water. Fill the bottle with 1 litre of clean water and add 1 cleaning tablet. Let it dissolve.
3. Run it through the system. With the bottle docked and the full tubing connected through to the driver-side connector, run the pump until the treated water has passed through the whole system and the lines are full. Switch off.
4. Detach the driver side and the bottle. Do this every time. The connectors seal, so the treated water stays in the system and preserves it.
5. Clean the bottle and cap. After rinsing with the treated water, hand wash the bottle and cap (including the seals), then dry them separately. No dishwasher, it wears the finish and the seals.

Storage between race weekends

• Leave the treated water in the system while stored. Do not drain it.
• Keep the driver side and the bottle detached.
  

Regular checks

• Inspect tubing and CPC fittings for wear and leaks.
• Check the latch and hose clamps are tight.
• Check the Deutsch connector is seated and the wiring is undamaged.
